With all the doom and gloom in the media and terrible stories of people losing their money, their home or their deposits you’d be forgiven for thinking that everyone in Spain is suffering and that buying or owning a property in Spain has got to be the worst thing you could ever do. The thing is though that plenty of people are perfectly happy. Many are either unaffected by the current “crash” if they even feel there is one or actually loving every minute of it as they buy up property after property from panicked vendors.
Things have definitely changed – and not for the better but are you right to be scared? Or could the current market be a blessing in disguise?
Well, as someone who owns 3 Spanish properties myself and hasn’t been even slightly affected, I wanted to delve beneath the headlines to find out what’s really going on. So I’ve set up this blog www.spanishpropertycrash.com where I’ll be sharing my tips, ideas and comments on current news stories to help you find the truth and make the best decisions when it comes to what you do next.
If you own a place in Spain and you’re desperate to sell then let me know. Simply register and post a comment or take part in our poll…
If you are thinking of buying in Spain but have been scared off by the sensational, but often one-sided, news stories then get the facts from me and others who are really doing it. For some people now is a terrible time to buy but for others it is the best time to buy since the late 1980s…
If you’re a real estate professional or knowledgeable property owner then contact me from the site and become a guest writer…
A final point: I have no vested interest in convincing people to buy property in Spain or not. I just think the media has been over-dramatising the problem and selectively reporting an unstatistically balanced number of “bad news” stories in order to get viewers and readers so it’s my aim to provide a truly impartial platform to discuss and review the real events as they unfold. So, if the state of Spain’s property market is something that interests you and you’d like unbiased and impartial commentary on events then I’ll see you here on my blog… www.spanishpropertycrash.com
Warm Wishes
