As a real estate agent in Spain I’m seeing more buyers getting in the market but they only go after the best priced, best located, maintained, best views, etc. properties. So if you want to sell you better have the best offer or they’ll go to your neighbours house.

That’s true indeed. I am a spanish buyer with problems with Polaris World. I seems Polaris is insolvent now. Because of that there ir a huge delay in handing the properties. I do not know if you are aware in England that you can get your money back plus legal interests.

One glimmer of hope for those wishing to sell and return to the UK, is that the sterling – euro exchange rate is very favourable for clients repatriating money. Your Euros will now buy you more sterling when you come back. This may help you reduce your asking price to try and stimulate more interest.
It is not easy at the moment but there are some buyers out there attracted by the new lower prices. The property market in Moraira is not booming but by the same token it is not dead!

Yes on the face of it this data looks reasonable. Property prices have certainly fallen in Moraira though probably not as dramatically as in as Costa Blanca South. The data may not be 100% acurate for all areas but can be useful as a guide and starting point for discussion

Good points in this article. Do remember that the exchange rate prevailing at present means that you will get more stirling for your Euro if you are bringing the money back to the UK. This can help the sting out of having to lower your euro price!

We too have seen a steady increase in demand for properties in the Moraira area of Costa Blanca. When we compare the prices for villas prevailing today with that of say three years ago, the prices now represent astonishingly good value. I do not think we have necessary found the bottom of the market but we are seeing buyers now looking to take advantage of these conditions.

First impressions are everything. De clutter, a fresh coat of emulsion if necessary – preferrably with neutral colours. Don’t forget the approach to the property. Make sure the front door is clean. Re paint it if necessary. Untidy gardens are a major turn off. Give your self a chance to sell!!
