In the process of compiling a 2nd survey on common snagging defects in Spain, which I plan to publish November, I had laugh at some of the amusing comments made by developers and things that have happened, during snagging inspections, so I thought that I would share these with you via a report which you can get at the end of this article, but for now here are my top 3 corkers:
1. When we found a large hole in the ceiling the builder smiled and said that it was for additional ventilation.
2. Not sure if this is something that builder’s inspection staff have in the training manual, but the most common expression for uneven walls ceiling or poor tiles is that its meant to be a “RUSTIC finish”.
3. Imagine the surprise when a customer arrives at their new property for a snagging inspection to find the builders moved in and then being greeted by a naked workman leaving the bathroom after his morning shower!
